Q1:  What are the Minimum System Requirements for TrainingPeaks.com Personal Edition?

Answer: 

  • Major web browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome)
  • Adobe Flash Player version 9.4 or newer, preferably Flash 10. Download Adobe Flash Player here
  • An internet connection, preferably Cable, DSL, or other broad band connection
  • Minimum screen size of 1024 x 768

 

 
Q2:  Do you have a mobile version of Trainingpeaks?

Answer:
TrainingPeaks has a dedicated mobile solution that is very convenient and fast. To access the mobile site go to: https://www.trainingpeaks.com/m

The mobile site supports all mobile devices that have a web-browser, including: iPhone, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and others. It is a simple, fast, web-based application and there is no need to install anything, just point your mobile browser to the above URL and login. Both Personal and Professional Edition customers can access their mobile accounts however Personal Edition users must have an upgraded Premium Edition account.

Q3:  Can I sync or export my TrainingPeaks calendar to Outlook or another calendar application?

 Q5:  I am no longer being coached but I want to keep my TrainingPeaks account, can I do that?  

Answer:
 
If you are attached to a Professional Edition Account and are no longer working with that person, you can remove your account from their account.  Removing your account will convert your account to a Basic level account.  All of your workout data will still be contained within your account.  Please note: if you were a self-paid coached athlete (meaning you paid for the Premium level account and THEN were attached to a coach) when you remove your account it will stay as a Premium level.  CLICK HERE  to read how to remove your account from a Professional Edition account.

 Q6:  How do I change the settings for my Nightly Email Reminder? 

Answer:
 
Settings for your Nightly Email Reminder are located in the "My Settings"..."Account" tab.   For more details on this setting, CLICK HERE.  If you are not receiving the emails but believe you should be, please double-check that your email is correct, and also check your spam folder.

 Q7:  What is the difference between a TrainingPeaks.com account and the WKO+ software program?

Answer:

TrainingPeaks.com is meant to be a comprehensive training and nutrition log, with detailed analysis and reporting tools for tracking and planning workouts. WKO+ is strictly a workout analysis tool for performing ultra detailed and highly comprehensive single workout analysis, or for analyzing your entire workout history.  For additional information on what product you should be using, CLICK HERE.

 Q8:  I am having troubles with my account appearing correctly and/or the loading bar keeps going but nothing happens.

Answer:

In most cases when users have viewing issues within their TrainingPeaks account, they are due to internet browser issues.  Often times this can be resolved by cleaning out the web browser's cookies and cache, updating their web browser to the current version, and making sure that a current version of Adobe Flash is installed.  For instructions on troubleshooting browser related issues, CLICK HERE.

 Q9:  What extra features and functionality will I have if I upgrade my Personal Basic account to Premium? 


Answer:

 Q10:  How much does a Premium account subscription cost and is there a discounted rate for purchasing 6 months or a year upfront? 

Answer:

Q11:  If I decide to go back to a Personal Basic account from Premium, will I lose my data? 


Answer:

No, anytime a user's Personal Premium account expires and goes into Basic account type, they are still able to log in to their account and view all of their workouts and history but will no longer have the Premium features and functionality available.  For the differences between a Basic and a Premium account, CLICK HERE.

 Q12:  Where is the GPS map or HR Graph from the workout device file I just uploaded to TrainingPeaks?

Answer:

Once you have a workout on your calendar and you have uploaded a device file, click on the workout to bring up the Quick View then click on View All Details.  Once you have the Workout Details view showing, you will then have a tab at top for switching your view to Maps & Graph.  For additional information on the Workout Details view, CLICK HERE

Q13:  Why isn't my Daily Calories Pod updating with the daily calories that I have consumed?

Answer:

As long as you are entering and tracking your meals and foods on your calendar, your Daily Calories Pod will update to show you the correct calories burned vs. consumed.  If you only see calories burned and your RMR, double check that you have marked your meals as 'Consumed' from each meal's Quick View.  For additional help with how to log a meal as consumed, CLICK HERE .

 Q14:  If I have a TrainingPeaks account but don't have a coach, how do I create my own training plan?
 

Answer:

Not all serious athletes need to have a coach so TrainingPeaks offers a couple ways that you can create your own plan.  If you have a Premium account, you can create an Annual Training Plan by utilizing the ATP and Virtual Coach features.  Basic and Premium accounts are able to go to our Training Plans Store and find a training plan to purchase and have loaded into their account. The other option is to manually add and update your Calendar with workouts and meals as you go.

 Q15:  What features are available for tracking my nutrition in TrainingPeaks?

Answer:

You can track both micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) and macronutrients (carbs, protein and fat) in TrainingPeaks.  You can also create favorite foods and meals to make tracking your nutrition easier and faster.  You can set your nutrition preferences like basal metabolic rate and calories burned by activity.  You can view progress over time in Dashboard pods such as calories burned versus consumed and micro- and macronutrient breakdown.  For additional information on nutrition, CLICK HERE.
