• Use Device Agent or WKO+ to directly download your data from your Garmin Device to TrainingPeaks software.  The below steps should be followed in this exact order:

1. Install Garmin Training Center, as this is what contains the drivers (small packets of software that allow your computer to "talk" to your Garmin). Do not run Garmin Training Center when trying to download from your Device to WKO+ or Device Agent, but it does need to be installed on the same computer as WKO+ or Device Agent.
2. Close all other training related software
3. Open WKO+ or Device Agent.
4. If using WKO+, open the WKO+ Home screen.
5. Connect the download cable to your computer.
6. Select "Garmin" for Training Device Type and "USB" for Training Device Port in the Application Settings.
7. Connect your Garmin and turn it on.
8. If using WKO+, open your athlete profile.
9. If using WKO+, open the File menu at the top of the screen and click Training Device Download; or, if using Device Agent, click Download.
10. Click Start Downloading in the download window that appears.
11. Once the files have been extracted from the device, they will be listed by date in the Download Window.
12. If using WKO+, make sure that the athlete profile you want to open it under is highlighted in the left hand navigation box, then double click on a file to open it in WKO+. To save the file, open the File menu and click Save As when viewing the workout file.
13. If using Device Agent, simply click the Send Link to the right of the file, or if you wish to send ALL of your files you just downloaded to your TrainingPeaks.com account, click the Upload ALL to Web button.

Tips and Troubleshooting: 

• Please note that because of the granularity of the date/time we can't handle more that 20 days worth of data at once when downloading to WKO+ or Device Agent from a Garmin Device. Download often!

• Also, be aware that the Garmin products slowly degrade the data over time in order to make room for more data to be stored. So, download often!

• If you have downloaded past data to Garmin Training Center, you can bulk import the exported History File to WKO+ using the method described in Import Existing Data.
