Top 10 Transition Tips for Personal Edition Users
Over the past year at TrainingPeaks.com, we've been making changes of our own. Some of these changes you have seen, and some are yet to be discovered. We're here to help you get comfortable with the changes, to make the transition from our legacy system to the new interface smooth, easy, and hopefully even a bit exciting.

- Please note, the new interface Calendar has Drag-and-Drop functionality, allowing you to drag and drop from your workout libraries and from different days on the calendar. For a quick video on the drag and drop & copy and paste feature of the calendar, CLICK HERE.
- New features are not backwards-compatible, our new interface has many features that were never available in the legacy system. These features include:
- Drag and Drop workout and meal planning
- Build workouts and meals on the same calendar
- Structured Workouts (i.e. Rep/Set/Weight)
- Videos attached to workouts (actually, all media associated with planned workouts)
- Routes (with Route History Report and Public directory)
- Various Graphing Pods: mean max power, speed, cadence. power, speed, cadence, pace distributions
- Spreadsheet View
- Workout Libraries
- Facebook and Twitter Sharing
- Nutrition Shopping List
- There is a new "Day View". You can change the default view when you log in. Do you want to always see the Day View first? Make that your default setting by clicking on "my settings...calendar&layout...view".
- My Settings. Please note the "My Settings" link gives you access to many important settings, including:
- Start-up videos. Watch these to get more information on using your Athlete Edition account.
- Nightly email notifications: set your nightly email schedule, turn them on or off.
- Change or update your credit card information
- Zones : set or edit your Heart Rate and Power Zones
- Set you Nutritional Preferences , including tools to better help you calculate your Nutritional settings
- Track equipment
- Calendar Layout: customize the way your calendar looks, including the 8th day summary information!
- Customize your Spreadsheet views, add/remove columns or change column order.
- Create different Pod layouts , based on what type of workout you are looking at
- Set the Workout Instructions for your different type of Structured Workouts.
- The "Joe Friel" collection of workouts are still available. To access these workouts, go to the Workouts section on the left side, then click on "Options" and select "Workouts (Classic)". If they still do not show up, go to "Options" now under the Workouts Classic view, select "View Filter Options" then make sure "Joe Friels exercises" is selected under the Exercise Groups.
- The new interface has an all new Spreadsheet View! The Spreadsheet view has unique functions such as inline editing (click on the cell to make changes or add data) and search capabilities. Click on the date to access the specific workout details. The Spreadsheet is an alternate view to the calendar, with similar planning capabilities, and is customizable through "my settings".
- The chronological listing of workouts is based on the workout start time. To specify the order, you need to either set a specific start time to the workout, or go to the "week" view of the calendar and drag-and-drop the workouts to the correct order.

- Annual Training Plan (ATP) and Virtual Coach (VC) are available in the new interface, from the ATP & VC icons on the left hand side of your TrainingPeaks account. ATP's generated from the old legacy system must be recalculated from the new interface. For more information on ATP and VC, CLICK HERE.
- The Dashboard and the Detailed View of Workouts or Meals are all highly customizable using Pods and Pod Layouts. Individual pods can be customized too! For more details on all the Pods that are available, as well as how to customize them, CLICK HERE.
